Rolls Royce Spectre EV launched in India at Rs 7.5 crore; Offers a range of up to 530km

Luxury can manufacturer Rolls Royce has launched its first electric luxury car-Rolls Royce Spectre in India. The model is a fully electric car and can offer up to 530km of range on a full charge. The luxury coupe offers similar design features like its other car models. However, there are some changes in the exterior as well as interior of the luxury electric car. The Spectre EV costs Rs 7.5 crore (ex-showroom).
The Spectre is based on an all-aluminum spaceframe architecture that is also present on the Phantom Cullinan as well as the Ghost. The EV is claimed to be 30 percent stiffer than other models. It also features active suspension and four-wheel steering.
Battery and Range
The Rolls Royce Spectre gets a massive 102kWh battery pack that can offer up to 530km on a full charge. In terms of charging, the Spectre’s battery can be charged from 10-80 percent in 34 minutes if 195W charger is used. On the other hand, it would take 95 minutes to charge the same amount with a 50kW DC charger. The Spectre gets two electric motors on each axle. The car produces 585hp of power and 900Nm of torque. In terms of acceleration, it takes only 4.5 seconds for the Spectre to go from 0 to 100kmph. The weight of the car is 2890kg.
In terms of dimensions, the Spectre is 5475mm in length, 2017mm in width and is successor to the Phantom Coupe.
Interior
Inside the Spectre, there are lots of illumination and offers a cluster of 5500 star like illuminations. The seats are completely new and the rear ones integrate with the interior body panel.
The Spectre also gets a new software platform called the ‘Spirit’. The Spirit offers a new digital interface that offers connected car technology and controls all functions of the car. The colour of the dials can also be changed in order to meet the interior of the car.
