Mahindra is rumoured to be working on a 6-seater variant for the Mahindra XUV700. It could be launched soon.

Mahindra is rumoured to be working on a 6-seater variant for the Mahindra XUV700. The Mahindra XUV700 6-seater variant was recently spotted testing, which hints that it could launch soon.

Mahindra currently offers the XUV700 in two seating configurations of 5-seater and 7-seater. It seems the 6-seater arrangement in the XUV700 will be made possible with the addition of separate captain seats in the second row.

The spy shots does not reveal any other changes in it’s exterior styling in comparison to the current XUV700. That means the upcoming 6-seater variant for the Mahindra XUV700 will be similar to the standard XUV700 except for the seating layout.

The spied Mahindra XUV700 6-seater was seen sporting the same LED headlamp units, L-shaped LED tail lights and alloy wheels. Reports have also suggested that the company might also not offer any changes in the feature list as well.

The current SUV is offered in two engines options, one 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol producing 197 BHP and 380 Nm and another 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that makes 182 BHP and 420 Nm (MT) / 450 Nm (AT). Both engines come with a choice of a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.

The top trims of the XUV700 will likely be available with the 6-seater layout. They will be getting the AWD option with the high-end diesel variants.

Upon it’s launch, the car will rival the likes of MG Hector Plus and Tata Safari.
