Rourkela: In yet another case of financial fraud in the State, the Goods and Service Tax (GST) Commissionerate unit of Rourkela arrested a trader for embezzling Rs 15 crore.
The held accused has been identified as Kamal Pasari, a resident of Steel City.
The GST Commissionerate officials carried out simultaneous raids at Pasari’s houses located at different places along with his office and verified documents. After discrepancy came to fore from the checked documents he was taken into custody.
After arrest the trader has been handed over to Rourkela Police for further interrogation.
Details are awaited in the case.
