Odisha CM meets PM Modi, rules out speculation on discussion about Presidential elections

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi today. Both the leaders had a meeting for about 30 minutes.

While speaking to the reporters after meeting the Prime Minister, Patnaik said that he had a courtesy call with Modi as he had not met him (PM Modi) for a long period of time due to the COVID pandemic.

The Odisha CM, however, ruled out speculation about their discussion regarding the upcoming Presidential elections. However, he said that both of them discussed several issues regarding Odisha during which he asked for the PM’s help.

Naveen Patnaik, who is on a three-day visit to the National Capital City, is slated to meet Home Minister Amit Shah at 6.30 PM today. Likewise, he is scheduled to hold talks with central government officials on various schemes tomorrow and will return back to Odisha at 1.30 PM on June 1.
