WATCH: Instant Karma! Thief gets trapped in hole after fleeing from Andhra temple

Many people believe in Karma, so here is an perfect example of it.  A thief got stuck in a wall hole while escaping with silver ornaments which he stole from the Jami Ellama temple in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh.

The incident occurred at Jadupudi village under Kanchili Mandal in Srikakulam. The thief was caught red-handed as he started shouting for help after getting stuck in the hole that he  made in a wall in the temple.

The thief has been identified as R Papa Rao, a 30-year-old who is reported to be addicted to liquor. He entered the Jami Yellamma Temple of Jadupudi village through a small hole and looted all the silver ornaments of the idols.

Some passerby noticed him and Rao requested to bring him out of the hole. Soon after he was rescued with the help of the locals. He was later taken into custody by the police after jewels were recovered from him.

The police of Jadupudi village under Kanchili Mandal in Srikakulam of Andhra Pradesh said that R Papa Rao has been committed to crimes to fulfill his thirst for liquor. The police have assured locals not to worry as R Papa Rao would be kept under the district police custody.

A video of the incident was posted on Twitter by Journalist Surya Reddy. In the said video, the irritated burglar can be seen asking locals to pull him out of the small hole he is stuck in.

He captioned the video, “A burglar trapped in the act at Jhadupudi Jami Yellamma #Temple in Kanchili mandal of Srikakulam dist. Enters through a small ventilation window, but just couldn’t get out.”

Earlier, Rao had stolen an LPG cylinder from his mother’s house so that he can buy himself alcohol.
