Bhubaneswar: A huge fine has been imposed on a youth in Bhubaneswar the Capital city of Odisha for bursting firecrackers on Sunday.
According to reports, the youth was allegedly bursting firecrackers during a barat/ marriage procession.
The incident took place in Cooperative colony area under Chandrashekarpur police limits of Bhubaneswar.
The twin city Commissionerate police immediately stopped the procession.
The alleged youth who was bursting the crackers was immediately detained by the police.
The youth was released after the groom’s side paid a hefty sum as fine.
It is noteworthy that, due to the Covid pandemic and the guidelines issued thereof bursting of firecrackers and huge processions in marriages have been banned.
