IndiGo offers 10 percent discount on flight tickets if you are vaccinated, Know steps to avail it

Indian low-cost airline IndiGo has offered some attractive discounts for its flyers starting from today. The flyers that have been administered with single/ two doses of Covid-19 vaccine are eligible for 10 percent discount on the base fare. This initiative by IndiGo is expected to boost the Covid-19 vaccination drive which is successfully running in the country.

This scheme (discount for vaccinated flyers) by IndiGo is called ‘Vaxi Fare’ and it was introduced by the airline for the first time in August 2021. As the country was recovering from the setback of Covid-19 the airline offered its ‘Vaxi Fare’ scheme.

The Vaxi fare scheme is available for all domestic flights in India. The discount can be availed for travel dates beyond 15 days from the date of booking. However, the passengers should keep it in mind that the booking of tickets should be done on the IndiGo website only. It is available for passengers above 18 years of age who are resident of India.

What the passengers should carry

Passengers must carry COVID-19 vaccination certificate issued by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. They can also show their vaccination status on Aarogya Setu mobile app. In case any passenger fails to do so, they will be charged full fare. This offer is available for one-way, round-trip and multi-city flights. However, it cannot be availed on group bookings on the IndiGo airlines.

Steps to avail the Indigo Vaxi Fare

Step 1

As you are entering the details about your boarding on the IndiGo website, select Vaxi Fare.

Step 2

Select whether you are vaccinated with the first dose or second dose and proceed further.

Step 3

Choose the preferred flight and select whether you want a one-way ticket or round-trip ticket.

Step 4

Ensure that you enter the Beneficiary ID details correctly. A valid Beneficiary ID is needed for the Vaxi Fare.

Step 5

The Vaxi Fare will be successfully applied and your booking will be complete.
