Odisha CM designate Mohan Charan Majhi meets BJD Supremo Naveen Patnaik

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha CM designate Mohan Charan Majhi met the BJD Supremo Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday said reports. The meeting took place at the residence of the former CM Naveen Patnaik that is Naveen Niwas in Bhubaneswar.

According to reliable reports, the Chief Minister designate Mohan Majhi met Naveen Patnaik on a courtesy meeting. Mohan Majhi interacted with the media and said that Naveen Patnaik will attend the swearing-in ceremony.  He said, “I requested (Naveen Patnaik) to bless the new government.”

After the meeting, the BJD Supremo took to his X handle and wrote in Odia which roughly translates into, “I have accepted the invitation of Mr. Mohan Charan Majhi who is going to take charge of the Chief Minister of the state. I also wished him well. I hope and believe that his leadership, strength and ability will work in the service of the people of Odisha.”

Odisha Chief Minister designate Mohan Charan Majhi also interacted with people in Bhubaneswar on the roadside on Wednesday. Mohan Majhi will take oath as the Chief Minister of the state today. The oath taking ceremony will be held at Bhubaneswar Janata Maidan. Governor Raghubar Das will administer the oath of office to the new Chief Minister at 4:45 pm today at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar. On this occasion, the two Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida were also present.

After garlanding, Mohan Majhi talked to the general public standing on the roadside. Even in the midst of the crowd, he himself went and heard the complaints of the people. Vijay Shankar Das, an employee of the transport department who was present, listened to the complaint before taking oath and promised to resolve the issue.

On the other hand, responding to the media before the swearing-in, Mohan said, “After the oath-taking, we will inform about the 100-day program and start work for the development of 4.5 crore Odia people.” He also said that a lot of work of the people below the poverty line has not been done and many jobs have not been done in their areas. Special attention will be paid to how development is achieved in their area. Mohan said that he will give importance to how the work that could not be done in Odisha in 24 years will be done in 5 years.
