Sharjah: Defending champions India on Saturday defeated arch-rival Paikstan by two wickets in the Final of the fifth World Cup for the Blind here in UAE.
India chased the victory target of 309 with two wickets remained in hand with more than one over to go. Sunil Ramesh scored an outstanding 93, while Captain Ajay Reddy made a classy 62 for India.

Earlier, India had won the toss and elected to field. Pakistan made 307 runs for 8 wickets in 40 overs.
In the semi-finals, India had defeated Bangladesh, while Pakistan beat Sri Lanka.
India remained unbeaten throughout the tournament. For India, Odisha cricketers Md Jafar Iqbal and Pankaj Bhue played crucial role in the tournament.
