Odisha CM condemns ‘Attack’ on Pandian’s Residence

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik condemned the attack on VK Pandian’s official residence by some BJP workers here on Saturday.

“It’s absolutely shocking incident, particularly as some members of a national party have agreed that they took part in it; It is truly shocking,” Patnaik said while talking to media persons over the incident.

Around 40 activists of saffron party stormed into the official residence of V Karthikeyan Pandian, the private secretary to Chief Minister, this morning.

Waving BJP flags and raising slogans ‘Sabdhan Pandian’, the BJP workers also pelted stones, broke flower pots, hurled cow dung at the main gate and damaged few vehicles parked in the residence of the IAS officer.

Ruling BJD, Opposition Congress, IAS Officers’ Association, IPS Officers’ Association, OAS Officers’ Association and other employee associations in the state have condemned the incident.
