Congress to return to power in Odisha: Narasingha Mishra

Narasingha Mishra DelhiNew Delhi: Leader of Opposition in Odisha Assembly, Narasingha Mishra has expressed satisfaction over the talks with Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi, called it highly successful and claimed that his party would return to power in Odisha in 2019.

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi met over 30 senior Congress leaders from Odisha at party’s war room in New Delhi. Rahul reportedly gave his views on the party’s affairs in the state and said he kept a close watch on all activities.

Rahul Gandhi asked the leaders to forget all differences and work towards strenghening the party in Odisha where the party has been without power since 2000 and sinking further every passing day.

“I will take a final decision on Odisha Congress soon and I am sure everyone will respect it,” said Rahul Gandhi.

According to sources, Niranjan Patnaik is leading the race to replace Prasad Harichandan as PCC President, while Bhakta Charan Das has also emerged as a dark horse. A President and 3 Working Presidents could be appointed, it is believed.
