Africa: In a tragic incident, over 70 people have lost their lives after a gold mine collapsed in Mali of Africa. A tunnel in the Malian gold mining site in Kangaba district collapsed last week, confirmed reliable reports.

Reports from reliable sources state that the African gold mine collapsed on Friday, and was officially reported on Tuesday. An official statement issued by the Ministry of Mines stated that multiple miners had lost their life in the tragic incident.

In the statement it was also mentioned that the Ministry of Mines “deeply regretted” the incident. It also advised the miners to be aware of and adhere to safety requirements.

The exact reason behind the African gold mine collapse is yet to be ascertained.

It is noteworthy mentioning that Mali in Africa is the continent’s third largest producer of gold. It is said that such accidents are common in the state as small scale miners often ignore safety measures.
