An earthquake of magnitude 6.7 on the Richter scale jolted Indonesia's Talaud Islands during the early hours of Tuesday.
Jakarta: An earthquake of magnitude 6.7 on the Richter scale jolted Indonesia during the early hours of Tuesday. The quake occurred in the Talaud Islands of Indonesia, said the National Centre of Seismology.
The tremors were felt at 02:18:47 on January 9, 2024. The quake originated at a Latitude of 4.75 and a longitude of 126.38. The epicenter of the earthquake was located 80 kilometers beneath the earth surface.
The National Centre of Seismology took to their official handle on X (formerly Twitter) to inform about the earthquake in Indonesia.
