3 dead, 1 critical in shooting at University of Nevada in Las Vegas

A shooting at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas left at least three people dead, while one was reported critically injured.

Las Vegas: A shooting at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas on Wednesday left at least three people dead, while one was reported critically injured. The incident led to the immediate evacuation of the campus. Reports from reliable sources state that the police have found and confirmed the death of the suspect as well. However, the identities of the victims are yet to be ascertained. 

The shooting at the University of Nevada caused panic, with students escorted off campus by the police. A professor, Vicent Perez, reported hearing multiple loud gunshots, prompting everyone to seek shelter. Police continue to search buildings for additional victims or threats. 

As a precautionary measure, the University of Nevada and other southern Nevada institutions were closed for the rest of the day. Roads near the university were also blocked. The UNLV campus, with around 25,000 undergraduates and 8,000 post-graduates, is less than two miles from the Las Vegas strip. 

This incident brings back memories of the 2017 mass shooting in Las Vegas, where 60 people were killed and many were left injured. The mass shooting in Las Vegas continues to rank as the deadliest mass shooting by a single gunman in the history of the US.
