Whatsapp iOS features: Five useful WhatsApp features that are available only on iPhones

Meta-owned instant messaging app, WhatsApp is one of the most used apps and rolls out updates and new features in a regular interval for iOS, Android and Windows users. But, there are a few features that are only available for Apple iPhone users now. These features may come to Android in the near future.

1. Message preview without marking it as seen

With this feature, users can preview a message received from any contact or a group without sending receipts even when it has been removed from the notification panel. To preview a message without marking it as seen, users just need to tap and hold on the conversation. Then you can see the preview.

2. Media files stays in phone’s gallery even when other people delete it for everyone

Another useful feature that WhatsApp offers to iPhone users is the ability to keep downloaded media files such as images, videos, GIFs attached to a message in the phone’s gallery even when any other WhatsApp user deletes the message for everyone.

Let us tell you that, when someone deletes a WhatsApp message for everyone, the media file that is attached with the message is also deleted even if it is saved in the gallery. However, if the media file is download from a message, then it won’t be erased from the phone even if the message is deleted for everyone.

3. Blur images 

WhatsApp has a feature for iOS that allows iPhone users to blur the whole image or a limited section of the image that they don’t want to reveal before sending it to someone. You can find the blur effect in the drawing editor and add it before sending any media file.

4. Crop videos 

With this feature, iPhone users can crop or resize a video before  sending it to a WhatsApp friend. You can crop the video only after you upload it from the gallery.

5. Play voice notes without turning the blue ticks

WhatsApp allows iPhone users to play a voice note they received directly from the notification panel without sending the blue ticks turned on. To do that, you need to long presses on the message in the notification panel, then you will see a Play option. Now click on the play option and you can listen to the voice note.
