Samsung Galaxy M42 5G, Galaxy A42 5G Spotted On BIS Listing, May Launch In India Soon

Samsung Galaxy M42 5G and Samsung Galaxy A42 5G were rumoured to launch in India Soon after both the smartphones were spotted on the listing of  Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website.

The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G debuted in US in September last year. The Galaxy M42 5G has not launched yet.

Though the company has not released any information about the launch of these phones but there have been some rumours about the two upcoming smartphones.

The BIS listing of the Samsung Galaxy M42 5G and Galaxy A42 5G only shows the model numbers and dual-SIM support of two phones. However, it does not include any specifications or any other details of the phones.

Reportedly, the smartphone with model number SM-M426B/DS is said to be Samsung Galaxy M42 5G while Samsung Galaxy A42 5G may has a model number of SM-A426B/DS.

Earlier this month, The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G was reported to be a rebranded Galaxy A42 5G after it was spotted on Wi-Fi Alliance and Bluetooth SIG certification websites.

In November 2020, it was also spotted on 3C certification website. The Galaxy M42 5G could be the first Galaxy M-series phone to come with 5G after it’s launch in India.

The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G was launched in September last year in selected regions. The price and specifications details of the phone was not revealed about a month later of its launch by the company.

The Galaxy A42 5G phone features a 6.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC.

It flaunts a quad camera setup on the back that includes a 48-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle camera, a 5-megapixel depth sensor, and a 5-megapixel macro shooter.

The Galaxy A42 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging supports.
