OnePlus offers free battery replacement for some of its older devices like OnePlus 3, 5, 5T, 6 and 6T

OnePlus mobiles has been offering free battery replacement for its older models in India. If you are a person who has been using smartphones like the OnePlus 3, OnePlus 5, OnePlus 5T, OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T you are eligible for this offer by the company. Surprisingly, the OnePlus will only charge the labour charges for replacing the battery of your smartphone.

According to a user on Reddit, OnePlus is offering battery replacement to its users with certain OnePlus devices at a low cost of just Rs 473. The users have to just walk into an official OnePlus store in order to avail the offer. However, instead of walking in to the store, if the users are opting to book a service online they can still avail a discount. However, they are eligible for only a 50 per cent discount.

There are many OnePlus device owners who must be wondering why the company is offering free batteries as replacement. The reason might be because the company has a large number of spare batteries. In addition to that, the smartphones like OnePlus 3, OnePlus 5, OnePlus 5T, OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T are quite old and might need a replacement.

For those who are unknown, OnePlus 3 is powered by 3000 mAh battery and had been launched 6 years ago. On the other hand OnePlus 5, 5T and 6 devices are powered by a 3300mAh battery. The comparatively new OnePlus 6T device boasts of a 3,700 mAh battery.

It is unclear whether OnePlus will offer any battery replacement for devices which were released after 6T.
