Nokia launches its first tablet in India at Rs 15,499; Know price, specs

HMD Global, Nokia has launched its first Android tablet Nokia T20 in India on Monday. The Nokia tablet comes with a 2K display, stereo speakers, dual microphones and an 8,200mAh battery that is claimed to deliver up to 15 hours of Web browsing experience on a single charge.

Additionally, Nokia T20 will get up to three years of monthly security updates and two years of free operating system upgrades, said HMD Global. The Nokia T20 will rival the Realme Pad in India that was launched in September with a starting price of Rs 13,999.

Nokia T20 price in India, availability 

Nokia T20 is priced at Rs 15,499 for the Wi-Fi only variant in 3GB RAM + 32GB storage option in India. While the Wi-Fi only model in 4GB + 32GB storage configuration costs Rs 16,499, whereas the Nokia T20 4G model is priced at Rs 18,499.

The Nokia T20 will go on sale via Flipkart starting from today. It is available for purchase on Nokia.com and offline retail stores in India. Customers purchasing the tablet will get preloaded Spotify access. There will also be various finance offers through major brands across channels.

The Nokia T20 Wi-Fi only model was announced in Europe last month with a starting price of EUR 199 (around Rs 17,200).

Nokia T20 specifications

The Nokia T20 features a 10.4-inch 2K display with 2,000×1,200 pixels, 400 nits of peak brightness. The tablet runs on Android 11 and is powered by an octa-core Unisoc T610 SoC, coupled with up to 4GB of RAM. The first Nokia tablet offers 32GB and 64GB storage options. Users can further expand the storage space by up to 512GB via a microSD card.

For photos and videos, the Nokia tablet sports an 8-megapixel camera sensor at the back along with an LED flash and a 5-megapixel selfie camera sensor at the front.

The tablet has OZO Playback and stereo speakers along with dual microphones for noise cancellation. The tablet packs an 8,200mAh battery that has 15W fast charging support.

Nokia T20’s connectivity options include 4G LTE (optional), Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
