JioBook laptop with Windows 10 receives hardware approval; Expected to launch soon
Reliance-backed Jio is reportedly developing a laptop for quite some time now. The new Jio laptop is said to be called JioBook laptop. The JioBook laptop is expected to be priced affordably like the other products from Jio. The upcoming JioBook laptop is said to rival Xiaomi, Dell, Lenovo, and other laptops in the segment.
According to 91mobiles, the JioBook laptop is hinted to be launched soon as it has received hardware approval. The hardware approval listing was spotted by tipster Mukul Sharma.
The listing revealed that the laptop will come powered by Windows 10 OS out of the box and has the product ID: 400830078. However no other specification details has not been revealed at the moment.
The listing shows the company name as Emdoor Digital Technology Co LTD, that means Jio seems to be planning to purchase the product from the vendor and sell it with its own branding.
The JioBook laptop had already received BIS certification and had appeared on Geekbench benchmarking application.
As per the listing, the JioBook will come with Android OS 11, which could be a mistake or it could be a different variant of the laptop that might be in the testing. The lisiting also revealed its testing score. As per reports, the laptop had a score of 1,178 in the single-core test and 4,246 in the multi-core test. Furthermore, it was listed with a MediaTek MT8788 chipset paired with 2GB of RAM.
This is all the information we know about the JioBook currently and the details have not surfaced yet. Reliance Jio has also not confirmed any information about the launch of the device yet.
But reports has suggested that the laptop is likely to be unveiled in the next few months, if not a little early.
