Google Wallet: Now travel hasslefree without carrying credit cards, documents or vaccination certificates

Have you ever wondered to travel without carrying credit/ debit cards, IDs or vaccination certificates? Google will very soon introduce a Digital Wallet which will provide liberty to Android users to travel without any IDs. The new Google Wallet will save your documents in digital form and will be available in over 40 countries.  The Google Wallet will be the new digital wallet for Android and Wear OS devices.

What does a Google Wallet do?

A Google Wallet can save your bank cards, concert tickets, driving license, vaccination certificates and much more in a digital form. The Google Wallet will let you travel without actually carrying them. In case if you misplace or lose any of the above-mentioned documents, you no longer need to panic as the digital form will be valid. For example, if you lose your debit card or credit card, you do not have to wait for a replacement bank card. You can still use your Google Wallet as it will have a virtual number attached to it.

Similarly, you can save your concert tickets or boarding pass in your Wallet and you will be reminded about the same beforehand through a notification on your smartphone.

In case your smartphone is stolen it will be very hard for anyone to use your cards stored on Google Wallet. In the worst-case scenario you can even wipe details on the Google Wallet by using ‘’Find My Device.’’

 

Who can use the Google Wallet?

Google Wallet will not be limited to expensive smartphones only. Rather it will be available on less expensive smartphones too. The Google Wallet can be developed by any Android developer. This means that it can be widely used by a variety of Android smartphones.

Google has partnered with hundreds of transit agencies, retailers, ticket providers, health agencies, and airlines so they can create digital versions of their cards or tickets for Google Wallet. A user can add a card or ticket directly to Wallet, or within the apps or sites of businesses, Google has partnered with.
