Asus ROG Phone 5s, Asus ROG Phone 5s Pro Gaming Smartphones launched in India

Asus has launched its two gaming smartphones Asus ROG Phone 5s and ROG Phone 5s Pro in India today. The Asus ROG series is widely acclaimed for its gaming capabilities among mobile gamers across the World. The starting price of the Asus ROG Phone 5s is Rs 49,999 while the Asus ROG Phone 5s Pro is priced at Rs 79,999. The smartphones will go on sale on February 18, exclusively on Flipkart.

In terms of specifications, the Asus ROG Phone 5s and ROG Phone 5s Pro get a display of 6.78-inches Samsung AMOLED (1080×2448 pixels) along with refresh rate of 144Hz, 360Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+ support, 24ms touch latency and 1200 nits peak brightness. Asus ROG Phone 5s is powered by a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC, with up to 12 GB RAM and storage of 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. On the other hand, Asus ROG Phone 5s Pro is powered by a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC, with up to 18 GB RAM and storage of 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

In terms of optics, both the smartphones get triple camera setup at the rear. The setup includes a 64 MP triple camera setup at the rear and a 24 MP selfie camera at the front. The 64 MP primary camera comes with f/1.8 aperture. The other two cameras are 13MP ultra wide lens and 5 MP macro sensor.

The device runs Android 11-based ROG UI out of the box. Users can purchase the Asus ROG Phone 5s with two colour options- Phantom Black and Storm White colour options. On the other hand, Asus ROG Phone 5s Pro is offered in a single Phantom Black colour option.

The connectivity features on for the ROG 5s series include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth version 5.2, GPS, OTG, and a USB Type-C port. The sensors present on the smartphone include ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, g-sensor, e-compass, and proximity sensor. The handset gets a fingerprint sensor for authentication purposes as well. The device packs a 6000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. The dimensions of the device are 172.83×77.25×9.9 mm while the weight is 238 grams.

Speaking about price of the device, the Asus ROG Phone 5s costs Rs 49,999 for 8GB+128GB variant while the 12GB + 256GB variant costs Rs 57,999. On the other hand the Asus ROG Phone 5s pro costs Rs 79,999 for a sole 18GB+ 512GB variant.
