Youth crushed to death over land dispute in Mayurbhanj, 4 detained

Baripada: In a gruesome incident, miscreants crushed a youth to death over land dispute in Patasahi village under Sarat Police Station area in Mayurbhanj district last night.

The diseased has been identified as Jagannath Khanuala of Badasola Sahi of the same village.

As per the report, the victim had a long running dispute with a group of villagers over a piece of land. With an objective to eliminate him last night at least four persons reached his house and started attacking him with a stone. Jagannath sustained grievous head injury in the attack and died on the spot.

Getting intimation from locals, police rushed to the deceased’s house this morning and rushed his body for autopsy.

All four persons involved in the killing were later detained by police. They have been identified as Bhima Singh,Garida Singh, Bira Singh and Rama Singh.
