Yellow Warning Issued: Rainfall And Thunderstorm Alert For Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A yellow warning has been issued for rainfall and thunderstorm in various districts across Odisha, said the recent MeT bulletin.

The bulletin further informed that, conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of South Bay of Bengal, entire Andaman Sea & Andaman Islands and some parts of East-central Bay of Bengal during next 2 days.

The highest maximum temperature of 42.8˚C was recorded at Bolangir and the lowest minimum temperature of 24.5 °C was recorded at Phulbani in the plains of Odisha.

A yellow warning has been issued for the next three consecutive days for various districts in Odisha, details here.

18 May 2022 (Tuesday):

Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of: Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore.

19 May 2022 (Wednesday): 

Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of: Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawarangpur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Angul and Dhenkanal.

20 May 2022 (Thursday): 

Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul and Dhenkanal.

Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Gajapati, Ganjam, Balasore, Boudh, Bhadrak and Jajpur.
