Woman having affair with brother-in-law, kills husband in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj dist, watch
The woman was allegedly having a love affair with her brother-in-law, a relative brother of the deceased.
Udala: A woman allegedly killed her husband by thrashing him with a wooden plank in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha on Monday.
The woman was allegedly having a love affair with her brother-in-law, a relative brother of the deceased.
The incident took place in the Naya Rangamatia village under Udala Police Station limit of the district.
The deceased has been identified as Raisen Murmu of Naya Rangamatia. The accused lady (wife of the deceased) has been identified as Pana Murmu.
As per reports, a worship (Jahira Puja) was going on yesterday in the village for which Raisen Murmu had been asked to bring chicken. However, somehow he came a little bit late. Accordingly, a verbal spat erupted between Raisen and his relative brother Chandramohan Hembram.
At this time, Pana Murmu, the accused lady, reached the spot and remained on the side of Chandramohan during the fight. She opposed her husband because allegedly she is having a love affair with Chandra.
As the argument took an ugly turn and Raisen and Chandramohan soon got engaged in a physical fight, the lady hit Raisen (her husband) with a wooden plank. Accordingly, Raisen was killed on the spot.
After getting information, Udala Police reached the spot and initiated investigation. Police probed the case and arrested Pana Murmu and Chandramohan. The scientific team has also reached the spot and collecting evidence. Further investigation of the case is underway.
