Bhubaneswar: A woman Bol Bam devotee went missing in Kuakhai river here after slipping into the water this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Bindishree Sahu, a resident of Jharpada area of the capital city.
The mishap took place minutes after the victim went to lift holy water from the river near Keshura bank to offer later to Lord Shiva. She lost balance and fell into the river and was swept away.
Some bystanders and fellow Bol Bam devotees immediately called up police and fire services officials for rescue.
Details are awaited in the case.
