Bhubaneswar: With President Ram Nath Kovind scheduled to arrive in Odisha today, the Commissionerate Police have made elaborate security arrangements here in the capital city.
A mock drill of the carcade was conducted to and fro Bhubaneswar Airport-Raj Bhawan (Governor’s House).
Over 100 police officers, 30 platoons of force, home guards, other battalions have been deployed. All the arrangements will be under the direct supervision of DCP, Bhubaneswar assisted by two police commandants, informs Twin City Police Commissioner Soumendra Priyadarshi.
Eight deputy commandants, 12 ACPs, DSPs and 70 inspectors have also been pressed into service. The traffic will be streamlined and restrictions will be imposed for some time just before the carcade moves out from Raj Bhawan to the airport, said the Commissioner of Police.
