Udala Sub Collector’s residence suffers roof collapse, no one hurt

Udala: The Udala Sub Collector Bhagaban Behera and his family had an escape from a roof collapse at his official residence here last night.

The roof collapse took place late in the night while Behera along with his family was fortunately away from his home. While Behera was on an official visit to Baripada for last two days his family members were away in some work.

While no casualty was reported in the roof caving, valuable assets including furniture, electronic goods and some other items were lost to the incident.

Behera who came to know about the incident after reaching his residence this morning also conveyed it to the district administration for necessary action.

The building currently being used as Udala Sub Collector’s residence happens to be a structure of British era and is in a wretched condition.
