Throat Of 9-Yr-Old Girl Slit In Ganjam District Of Odisha, Probe Underway

Berhampur: In a horrifying incident, a youth slit the throat of a nine-year-old girl at Sural village under Golanthara police limits in Ganjam district of Odisha.

The girl was rushed to Berhampur MKCG Hospital in a critical condition. Angry villagers chased the youth and thrashed him black and blue before handing him over to the police.

The reason of the attack however is yet to be ascertained.

Later, the Golanthara police admitted the youth to a hospital and launched a probe into the incident.

Sources said, the youth attacked the girl while she was playing. Police is probing the case and further reports to be followed.
