Bhubaneswar: Tata Starbucks announced Sushant Dash from Odisha will be taking over as the Chief Executive Officer from May 1, 2021 after Navin Gurnaney steps down from the CEO post.
He will be taking charge as the fourth CEO of the International brand.
Dash had graduated in economics from Ravenshaw University in Cuttack in 1994. In 1996, he had joined as Associate Research Director in ORG Marg. Then he joined Tata Tea Ltd in 2001 and rose to become a Senior Manager in Tata Tea Premium.
Sushant is currently working as the President of Tata Global Beverages.
Dash was already a part of the core team that opened the first-ever Tata Starbucks store in the country in 2012 where he was responsible for the strategy and marketing of the brand.
“Navin Gurnaney, CEO, has made the decision to pursue an opportunity outside of the company,” Tata Starbucks said in a statement.
