Bhubaneswar: All the schools, high schools under the Department of School and Mass Education, and all colleges along with all universities under the Department of Higher Education in Odisha will reopen today. All technical educational institutions in the state will also open today.
Reportedly, the educational institutions will reopen from 10 am till 4 pm.
The Department of Higher Education has instructed all colleges in the State to ensure that the exams get completed in a timely manner, even during the holidays, this year. Notably, all educational institutions had been closed until June 16 due to the summer vacation holiday from June 6.
It is pertinent to mention that earlier on June 11, the Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) had drawn up a well-structured plan for the activities which will be undertaken for the students of Class 1 to 8 in schools after the summer vacation during the academic year 2022-23.
Following are the activities stated in the letter to all District Education Officers-cum-DPCs:
- The books developed under FLN (Class-I to III) and LCP books (Class-IV to VIII) will be administrated along with textbooks of the concerned grade.
- Time table (Class wise / Subject wise) must be hung in each class.
- Safety and security of the children should be ensured. The child-friendly school environment should be ensured in each school.
- Written work correction Register should be verified by the headmaster of the school and communicated to the concerned teacher.
- Lesson note of all the teachers should be verified by the headmaster and record the remarks.
