Konark: Seven people were injured after a tourist bus had a head-on collision with a Tata Winger on marine drive between Ramchandi and Chandrabhaga this afternoon.
As per reports, the Tata Winger was carrying tourist hailing from Keonjhar when it collided with the passenger bus coming from the opposite direction.
Police and personnel of Odisha Fire Service rescued the victims and rushed them to the nearest hospital. Police said that the driver of the passenger bus has been detained for further interrogation. “ We are also trying to ascertain whether the driver of the bus was driving under the influence of alcohol,” said a police official.
