Mohana: A man was killed in a road accident on Friday in Gajapati district of Odisha. The deceased has been identified as Prafulla Majhi, the samiti sabhya of Kotama panchayat under Mohana block.
As per reports, the accident took place due to the head-on collision between the deceased’s motorbike and a sand-laden truck at Dekapanka near Paniganda under Adaba police limits in Gajapati district.
The unfortunate incident occurred while Majhi was en route to Mohana on his motorbike. He was rescued in a critical condition and rushed to Bamunigaon Community health centre (CHC) in Kandhamal district where doctors declared him brought dead.
A case was lodged in this connection and Adaba police handed over the body to his family members after post-mortem. A manhunt was launched to nab the driver of the truck who has been on the run after the incident.
