Raja tragedy in Odisha: Minor girl meets watery grave in Jajpur district

Jajpur: In a sad incident a minor girl drowned in the pond on the ‘Sesa Raja’ day in Odisha’s Jajpur district on Thursday. The incident took place in Aruha village under Dharmasala Police limits.

The deceased has been identified as Lima Sethi (14), daughter of Sudam Sethi of the village.
As per reports, Lima had gone to the pond in the village along with her friends to take bath. Unfortunately, she slipped and could not get out of the water.

After knowing about the incident the locals searched for her for a long time in the pond and finally fished out Lima from the pond water.

She was then rushed to the Barchana Community Health Centre. However, the doctors pronounced her brought dead.

A case of unnatural death has been filed at Dharmasala Police Station and further investigation of the case is underway.

A pall of gloom has descended the area following the sad demise of the minor girl.
