Rainfall warning issued for next five days in Odisha, check details

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) here today issued a rainfall warning for the next five days in Odisha.

According to the weatherman, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at different places of the State in the next five days while some other places will also likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall between July 3 and July 7.

Day-1 (valid up to 8.30 AM of July 3, 2022):

Forecast:

  • Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of Odisha.

Yellow Warning:

  • Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Sambalpur, Angul, Jajpur and Koraput.
  • Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundergarh, Deogarh, Bargarh, Kalahandi and Nuapada.
  • Thunderstorms with lightning are very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jaipur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul and Dhenkanal.

Day-2 (Valid from 8.30 AM of July 3 up to 8.30 AM of July 4, 2022):

Forecast:

  • Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of Odisha.

Yellow Warning:

  • Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Dhenkanal and Angul.
  • Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Boudh, Kalahandi, Balangir, Nuapada, Kandhamal, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Cuttack, Malurbhanj, Jharsuguda, Sundergarh and Balasore.

Day-3 (Valid from 8.30 AM of July 4 up to 8.30 AM of July 5, 2022):

Forecast:

  • Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of Odisha.

Yellow Warning:

  • Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bhadrak, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Dhenkanal, Jajpur and Angul.
  • Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Kendrapara Jagatsinghpur, Sonepur, Balangir, Nuapada, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, Sundergarh, Khurda, Boudh, Puri, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhani.

Day-4 (Valid from 8.30 AM of July 5 up to 8.30 AM of July 6, 2022):

Forecast:

  • Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of North Odisha, South Coastal Odisha and at many places over the districts of South Interior Odisha.

Yellow Warning:

  • Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal and Nayagarh .
  • Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Khurda, Sonepur, Bargarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Cuttack, Sonepur, Boudh, Jajpur and Deogarh.

Day-5 (Valid from 8.30 AM of July 6 up to 8.30 AM of July 7, 2022):

Forecast:

  • Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of North Odisha and at many places over the districts of South Odisha.

Yellow Warning:

  • Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Bargarh, Balangir, Nuapada, Kandhamal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapara Gajapati, Ganjam, Malkangiri, Koraput and Rayagada.
