Baripada: A mob today assaulted a man claiming to be an orderly with the police for allegedly molesting a 13year old girl near Indoor Stadium in the town.
The father of the girl also tied the man identified as Jawahar Bera to a tree before handing him to the police.
The father of the girl alleged that Bera has been passing lewd comments to his daughter for the past few days.
“She was returning home from tuition when he stopped her and tried to outrage her modesty. He even dragged her to the nearest pump house and molested her. She narrated the entire incident after reaching home,’ alleged the father of the minor girl.
Police have detained Bera and are further interrogating him.
