Bhubaneswar: Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) has bagged the Best Airport award in Airport Service Quality (ASQ) by Airport Council International (ACI).
“The airport has been chosen as the best airport under 2 to 5 million passengers category for 2018. We humbly thank all our passengers, stakeholders and partners,” said Airport Director, S.C Hota.
Hota said that accorded on the basis of an independent survey amongst passengers on various parameters like security, safety, experience, ambience, ease of availability and cleanliness.
The passenger traffic at the airport increased by 40.58 per cent in the year 2018-19. The airport handled 44, 51,163 local air travellers while the number of international passengers reached 99,410.
