Passengers of Tapaswini Express (Puri-Hatia Express train-18452) got a rude shock after they discovered chains holding the middle berths were missing yesterday.

Bhubaneswar: Passengers of Tapaswini Express (Puri-Hatia Express train-18452) got a rude shock after they discovered chains holding the middle berths were missing yesterday.

According to reports, the Puri-Hatia Express (Tapaswini Express) left Puri as per its schedule. However, after the train had crossed some distanced, the passengers who were allotted the middle berths in the S-6 compartment were surprised after they found the chains holding the middle berths were missing.

Soon, they informed the ticket collector about the incident. Later, one additional compartment was attached for the affected passengers at Bhubaneswar railway station. Following which, the Puri-Hatia Express train left for its destination.

“It was reported that chains of middle berths of the S6 coach were missing in the Tapaswini Express yesterday. A separate coach was attached at Bhubaneswar station. The matter is under investigation to find out how the chains went missing,” said Ashoka Kumar Mishra, CPRO of East Coast Railway (ECoR) as  quoted by ANI.
