Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has issued the official notification for recruitment of various  Assistant Professor posts in various universities of Odisha.

Eligible candidates can apply for the OPSC Recruitment 2021 on its official website opsc.gov.in from 15th February, 2021 till 22nd March, 2021.

Salary Details:

Cell-I of Level 10 of the pay matrix under Odisha Revised Scales of Pay for University Teachers (UGC Scale of Pay) Rule,2019 with usual dearness allowance and other allowances

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in the concerned subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. A relaxation of 5% shall be allowed for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ PWD candidates.

Apart from that, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants.

The candidate must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit:

Minimum age limit- The candidate must have attained the age of 21 Years as on 01.01.2021. Maximum age limit- No limit (Superannuation age becomes the maximum age limit by default).

Selection Procedure:

The candidate will be shortlisted for each subject as per the UGC guideline.

The Commission has decided that five times the no of vacancies shall be shortlisted for interview when the no of vacancies is more than two. For subjects where there are only one or two vacancies, ten candidates shall be shortlisted for interview.

The candidates will be short listed for interview as per their academic score obtained as specified in Appendix II (Table 3A) for universities of UGC Regulation, 2018 and then they will be selected as per their interview performance.

Then fill up the online application form as per the mentioned guidelines.

Pay the application fee and submit the application form.

On successful submission of the Online application form, a Unique PPSAN No. will be displayed on the screen as well as on the top of the application form.

Now take out a printout of the submitted online application form.
