Koraput: In a macabre act, a mother decapitated his three-year-old son in Lukumari village under Podagad panchayat in Koraput district this morning.
According to sources, the three-year-old was found lying in a pool of blood when the family members notice the son. They found the child’s severed head.
On seeing this, they informed the Koraput police regarding the incident. On being informed, the team reached the spot and have started a probe into the matter, informed Kiran Bala Samal, police in-charge.
It is alleged that the mother was in intoxicated state or killed his son due to supersition.
