Bargarh: Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday raided five known addresses of Assistant Engineer of Bargarh Irrigation Department. The charges being amassing properties disproportionate to his known source of income.
The accused official is Tankadhar Meher.
Five separate teams of the Vigilance department is conducting raids at his official quarter at Dam colony, his residence at Bargarh, and his office at Irrigation department. Other addresses currently under raid are his in-law’s place at Balangir and his ancestral home situated at Padampur.
The raid is still underway and the exact amount of recovered property is not known yet.
