Odisha: Infected water puts life in jeopardy in Sandhipada village

Kalahandi: Water- a basic necessity for livelihood has become the prime cause of concern with it being infected for denizens of Sandhipada village of Golamunda block here.

The water from borewell is not only infected but also muddy. The usage of this water has led to numerous cases of kidney related diseases in the little village.

While Sandhipada houses about 50 families it has only two sources of water via handpumps. And, sadly, both of them have infected water.

The villagers of this little hammock have been suffering from this problem since years and despite repeated complaints, no action has been taken.

Meanwhile, Assistant Block Development Officer (ABDO) has promised to bring forth a solution for the denizens of the Sandhipada village.
