Odisha to get Rs 1023.59 Cr ‘Titli’ assistance from NDRF

New Delhi: The Centre on Monday approved the additional assistance of 1023.59 crore rupees from the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) to Odisha as to restore the damage inflicted by cyclone ‘Titli’ and subsequent flood and landslides in the state.

The decision came at a meeting of the High-Level Committee chaired by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh here today.

Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley, Union Minister for Agriculture, Radha Mohan Singh, Union Home Secretary, Rajiv Gauba and senior officers of the Ministries of Home Affairs, Finance and Agriculture were present in the meeting.

Earlier this month, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had demanded immediate release of central assistance for the devastation caused by the cyclone to Odisha.
