Bhubaneswar: The Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) of Odisha government today issued alerts to some district collectors of Odisha over dense fog warning.
As per the latest bulletin of the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), dense fog to occur in Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada and Koraput districts till 8.30 AM of December 23.
The weather department has issued yellow warning for these districts saying the visibility would be between 50-200 metres due to the dense fog.
The SRC said that police and transport officials of these districts have been directed to take necessary steps for controlled plying of vehicles on highways during dense fog to avoid road accident.
