Odisha sees continuous rise in Covid cases with 53 positives today
Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Tuesday recorded a rise in daily Covid cases with 53 new positives in different districts of the State in the last 24 hours.
According to the data shared by the Information & Public Relations Department, as many as 53 new Covid positive cases were reported in eight districts and the State Pool. A total of 46 persons were infected with the virus on Monday.
There are only five children in the 0-18 age group. Out of the total 53 cases, 33 are quarantine cases while the rest 20 are local contacts. Currently, there are 292 active cases in the State.
Khordha only reports 32 Covid positives today followed by State Pool, Cuttack, and Puri with 7, 4, 3 positives respectively. Likewise, Jagatsinghpur and Sambalpur recorded two Covid positives each while Balasore, Jharsuguda, and Sundargarh: recorded one positive case each.
