Odisha reels under extreme heat wave condition: Check temperatures in different places

Bhubaneswar: Odisha is reeling under extreme heat wave condition these days while day temperature in many places across the State is above 40 degree Celsius. On Wednesday, Sonepur recorded the maximum temperature at 44.5 degree Celsius while 24 towns in the state recorded temperature above 40 degree Celsius.

As per reports, severe heat wave condition is being experienced in Odisha that is brining normal life to a standstill at many places. While Sonepur recorded the maximum day temperature with 44.5 degree Celsius on Wednesday, four towns of Odisha recorded temperature above 44 degree Celsius today.

As per Bhubaneswar MeT Centre data 11 cities of Odisha recorded day temperature above 43 degree Celsius today — Sonepur – 44.5, Angul-44.1, Balangir- 44.0, Jharsuguda-44, Sambalpur-43.8, Sundergarh-43.5 degree Celcius. Similarly, Bargarh recorded 43.4 degree celcius, Titlagarh 43.2, Bhubaneswar 40.3.

It has been forecasted that the heat wave condition will continue for the coming five days.
