Odisha private bus owners’ association puts strike on hold till July 31

Bhubaneswar: Putting all speculation to the rest, the All Odisha Private Bus Owners’ Association on Monday announced that it has decided to put its scheduled strike on hold till the end of July month.

The decision to withhold the bus strike till July 31 was taken during the general council meeting held today and it was informed to the media persons during a press meet.

It is to be noted here that the association had called for an indefinite strike beginning from July 1 over the fulfillment of its 10-point charter of demands. It had a discussion with the State’s Transport Minister yesterday over the same.

However, the association threatened to launch the strike from August 1, if the Odisha government fails to fulfill their demands by July 31.
