Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Professor Ganeshi Lal on Friday accepted the resignation tendered by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and his Council of Ministers as to enable the formation of new Council of Ministers following the results of the general elections.
However, the Governor has requested the Chief Minister and his present Council of Ministers to continue in their office till the date new Council of Ministers is sworn in.
Sources said, newly elected BJD legislature party meeting, chaired by BJD President Naveen Patnaik, will be held here on May 26.
