Odisha girl wins gold medal in crossbow shooting championship

Rayagada: A. Neha Patnaik, a young inhabitant of Rayagada Sadar Mahkumar Housing Board Colony and the daughter of A. Anand Patnaik, is presently the talk of the town.

She won gold medal in the third crossbow shooting championship, bringing glory to the district and the state. She has been accorded with a huge welcome after she returned back to her hometown.

The competition was held at Air Force Station in Agra on the 2nd and 3rd of last month.

Neha is currently studying BSc, Agriculture at GIET University in Rayagada district ,Gunupur.

Shri Reddy, coach of Bharat Shooting Academy, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, has trained her in crossbow shooting from Ganesh.

After coming to Rayagada, Neha has received warm welcome from many people. Numerous people have expressed their greetings for Neha’s success.

Neha hopes to make a pre-premier for the country at the next Pre-Olympics.
