Jajpur: In a shocking incident, officials of a private finance company reportedly kidnapped a youth and kept him hostage for failing to repay loan in Odisha’s Jajpur district today.
One Manas Gedi of Khandara area had reportedly taken some amount of money from Koresa Bibi of Kusuma area. He used to pay some money along with the interest monthly on time. However, he could not pay the money due to some unknown reason.
Koresa and two of his friends allegedly kidnapped Manas and kept him hostage at a house in Kusuma Park area.
Later, the wife of Manas filed a police complaint, based on which the Jajpur Police rushed to the house and rescued him.
Speaking about the incident, Jajpur SDPO said that police, during interrogation, came to know about a finance company’s hand behind the kidnap of Manas.
Meanwhile, police are interrogating one employee of the concerned finance company by detaining him, added the SDPO.
