Cuttack: The Commissionerate Police who have been carrying out a drive against the illicit manufacturing units of various products from ghee to spices over the few months, on Tuesday they busted a fake cement manufacturing unit in the industrial estate in Jagatpur area of Cuttack district.
Acting on a tip-off, the Jagatpur police conducted a raid at the manufacturing unit and seized huge quantity of spurious cement under the name of Ultra-tech cement.
The police also seized several packaging materials with labels of different reputed brands on them.
The police have started an investigation into the matter.
